Trout Fishing Lake Rotoiti

Lake Rotoiti is one of the gems of the Rotorua Region Fishery, Lake Rotoiti regularly produces quality trout many in excess of the magical 4.5kg mark shallow trolling and harling over weed beds and around drop offs is productive early in the season and in the warmer months deep water jigging is a lethal way of catching these hard fighting Rainbow's which make great sport with the light and responsive tackle. The lake is very scenic and peaceful with bush clad hills and visible traces of geothermal activity an added bonus is a stop at the Manupirua Hot Springs for a hot swim before the trip home.
